I am delighted to announce the birth of my first book, The Importance of Being Emma, a modern re-telling of the Jane Austen classic. ‘Emma’ was born on 15th December 2008, nearly three years after conception – enough to make even an elephant weep!
Despite all the difficulties – writer’s cramp, sagging middle, chocoholism, split infinitives, to name but a few – I’ve battled bravely on, sustained by John Thornton holding my hand throughout (in my dreams!), by the support of my family, and by encouraging feedback from those who read the earlier version.
The new arrival weighs almost half a kilo, is 416 pages long and is available as a paperback or an ebook (with a choice of PDF, Mobipocket or Microsoft Reader format).
Visit the publisher’s website www.choc-lit.co.uk for all the details. Choc Lit is also offering the paperback with a box of chocolates as a Girlie Gift. And guess who’s supplying the chocolates? It’s got to be Thorntons …
Alternatively, the paperback is available on Amazon.
Best of all, with this baby there’s no feeding or nappy changing!
